(Liar!) Clearly, those remarks cloaked Roberts long game which, through his actions, have greatly weakened our system of checks & balances. Reading your book has helped me put some of the jigsaw puzzle pieces of the past in place for me. Thank you! I am grateful it is "only" 1933 today. However, we do have so much more we need to do at so many fronts to rein in and remove this autocratic regime.
Yeah, unfortunately public servants lie. I was disgusted by the image of Trump thanking Roberts after his 2nd inaugural. It was apparent Trump was thanking Roberts for handing him the keys to the U$ candy store (kleptocracy) with that immunity judgment Roberts cooked up out of whole cloth. It's my understanding that "W" elevated Roberts to SCOTUS in gratitude for his counsel to Jeb on counting the votes in Fl leading to Bush v Gore decision.
