John Roberts is a radical hiding in a robe. Look at the totality of his tenure.

I would never call him a conservative. I would label him a fascist who wants to eliminate our constitution.

Thank you for your passion on this issue: the overt and blatant corruption and anti-constitutionality of this court. I share your sense of urgency over the need to reform it. They’ve legalized the bribery of officials, they’ve allowed unlimited amounts of dark money into our politics, they overturned a woman’s right to choose, they’ve gutted the voting rights act, they’ve legalized partisan and racist gerrymandering and possibly worst of all they pulled a rabbit out of the hat of the constitution and invented the notion of a president/ king above the law. It’s disgusting.

And the fact that they took all that power away from agencies that have experts, the fact that they took power away from lower courts hogging it all for themselves – – and what I fear will be their absolute devastation of our environment in the next couple of years as the Trump administration shreds all of our environmental laws – – it’s all terrifying. This court must be reformed. Time and time it votes against the vast majority of the American people’s will.

Thanks to the Robert's Court via Citizens United sanctioning bribes in Congress & ignoring them in their own chambers! America now has the worst Corruption Money Can Buy!

Thank you, Lisa! Talk about disingenuous! We can't forget that all these right-wing justices asserted their commitments to precedent in their confirmation hearings. Now look at them. Has any SC in history ever taken a sledgehammer to existing law to the degree this one has? These are not good-faith actors. They're partisan hacks for an authoritarian political party that has believed their political opponents are illegitimate for decades.

What the hell is he conserving? Certainly NOT the Constitution of the USA.

Thanks, Katherine! There’s a colon missing that we’ll get fixed. The year 1776 was standing in for the opening words: “Four score and seven years ago” from 1863….

I love your writing. Yesterday, I decided to ‘listen’ so I could multitask. When I went to the text to verify what I heard, it didn’t occur to me it was missing a punctuation mark. Your writing is always so clear. Think I’ll stick to reading.

Is it legal for someone in his position to denigrate the constitution?

Who’s going to stop him? Rhetorical, but right now there aren’t enough votes. Hoping a to do list and how to list with detailed notes are being compiled by so many attorneys sitting on the sidelines right now.

They are CON-SERVATIVES, not conservatives.

Lisa, I just finished my first reading of your outstanding book, "Without Precedent." The extent of John Roberts' detailed planning and collusion with Leonard Leo defies belief, but you documented his long history beautifully. I would put Roberts first in line for impeachment. I hope I live long enough to see him impeached, convicted and serve a life sentence for treason and all other heinous deeds.

This conservative court, majority, obviously supports ,..

“ The Unitary Executive Theory”,.. this is so obvious and evident by many of these court decisions,.. bestowing executive immunity,..

Nowhere in the constitution is that included,..

I think these conservative justices of the Supreme Court don't believe in Democracy,.

There is one word only to apply to Johnny Reb er, ahem John Roberts and the Seditious Six/Treasonous Tribe of fellow reactionary travelers - TRAITOR. Their decisions have the direct effect of causing the direct deaths of countless Americans. We should be clear and free to apply this words to him and his fellow gated community thugs.

Supreme Court Justices facing elections after two years for six year terms would make them a part of our democracy instead of autocrats. This, with proportional ranked choice voting for Congress would yield rule through consent of the governed rather than the whim of the wealthiest. A true democracy.
