What a profoundly sad day, yet again, when the Supreme Court Republican justices fail to uphold the oaths they swore when they joined the court. In the ideal world I would expect every candidate for House or Senate who wins in November to take an additional oath that he or she will work tirelessly to begin undoing the damage wrought by the S. Court. Job #1 for anyone who aspires to hold public office.
On the one hand, at each turn this country has exploited all available means to denigrate, diminish & destroy human beings whether as slaves, First Nations/Native Americans, Chinese railroad workers, waves of immigrants, Japanese farmers & shopkeepers, African Americans, women.....
On the other hand, we the people have halted slavery, overturned wretched laws & court rulings, laid our own lives on the line, have found new ways to express freedom, overcome problems, and worked for a better tomorrow. The truth is coming from where it is. How do I know? I don't. It's a mystery

The upheaval of noncriminal adults and families continues to get the 6 nods. Ripping up roots of communities who’ve followed the law to reside, attend court appointments, pay taxes, and own community businesses is abhorrent.
The law in many states includes the principle that "men are presumed to intend the natural and probable consequences of their acts." It is only fair to apply that principle to the conservative justices, who have deliberately chosen to ignore Trump's open racism and its impact. They, too, must be presumed to intend that a large population of Haitians face the prospect and reality of horrific assaults, rape and death because of the justices' racism.
Alito: "He wrote that none of Trump’s or his allies’ statements “was overtly racial” and asserted that the decision to end TPS for Haitians “could rest on” reasons having nothing to do with race, such as hostility to the notion of providing refuge."
Yet these same men piously call themselves Christian men of faith, ignoring that their alleged savior never counseled them to harbor "hostility to the notion of providing refuge." They blithely ignore the verse on the base of our Statue of Liberty, a GIFT from France that does not belong just to Trump, that says, "Give me your tired, your poor, etc." This means utterly nothing to the 6 on the SCOTUS and the entire Heritage Foundation but liberalism and providing refuge, which they deplore. Who birthed these creatures?
Something as bad as this ruling in and of itself eventually fails because it is so wrong in it,s inception...i suspect that what is actually happening is an attempt to scare immigrant citizens,...great post.
