I certainly hope that the next democratic president puts reforming this corrupted court at the top of any agenda. They are destroying our democracy.

There will not be a single black representative from the entire south thanks to these KKK justices. Their black robes don’t cover their white sheets and hoods.

No damn committees. No more talking. Reform the damn court.

Just do it.

Powerful analogy, Lisa, of Moby Dick.

Great writing and substantial insight.

Sad that this is coming back to reality. It was one of the questions I remember asking my Mother about when I was maybe 4-5…. I wanted to know why I couldn’t drink from a specific water fountain, or use a bathroom. It was hard for her to answer. I am sickened by this.

I am so sorry you were subjected to that, Carol!

I’m no different than anyone who grew up during segregation. Perhaps I asked why at an early age.

Just Remember, The APE who put him on the Bench:

Of course he is.

Now every case he ever made an opinion on is NG. Roberts proved without a reasonable doubt how racist he is and all his opinions should be disqualified

Whites plus Clarence Thomas who seems to have forgotten Loving.

Our Constitution did not give the SCOTUS the power they are wheeling but without control of congress or bipartisan collaboration we are stuck with them. Nothing lasts forever and I hope I live long enough to see justice served on them. One of the first things to correct will be the SCOTUS and a law that takes away life time appointments in government anywhere but especially in the courts. Thanks Lisa for sharing your knowledge and honest opinion on the devastation of this current court. How 6 people can ruin life for over 300 million people is mind boggling.

The Robert's Court is racist and sexist. I would like nothing better than to see John Roberts tossed out in disgrace (and that goes for the rest of the MAGA court as well.

These Justices are so racist and corrupt. They are truly illegitimate men that needs to be impeached doing opposite of when they were confirmed.

Thank you, Lisa, for keeping us informed, even if this is quite disturbing and alarming. Trump really must be removed before things get even worse. I'm very concerned that as he loses support he'll react with revenge and retribution as he does when things don't favor him, and in his current state that could be extremely dangerous.

Love the analogy of Robert’s to Moby Dick. That analogy fully explains why Robert’s is so screwed up without pages and pages of detail. Explains why Robert’s has lost course and in his fascist hate is no longer commanding the goal of the ship he is supposed to be captain of.

The Jim crow six need impeachment and prosecution. Perhaps Barrett might be allowed to resign apon thorough investigations into all of their separate and combined criminal and anti American, racist and corrupt dealings. Each will have to be taken on a stand alone basis, then Prosecutions.

Roberts may not be a filthy racist but he sure acts like one.

JR’s bigotry & vindictiveness will be revealed to future generations and it won’t be pretty. Racism, in all its iterations is ugly.

🤯🧐 The Formerly “Supreme” court, Is anything but ^ As we have learned. Those men will go down in History as TRAITORS to everything America 🇺🇸 Stands for.

I, too, learned about “white only” water fountains while visiting family in Mississippi. I thought it was stupid as an eight year old!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge of John Roberts and the unSupreme Court, Lisa. These are frightening times. I was in Alabama and Kentucky from 1958 to 1960. There is no way I would want to go back to that period of time. Hatred and disrespect of Black Americans were displayed everywhere. I saw the police beat young black boys unconscious because they were picketing a theater, purposely built without a balcony, which they could not enter. The streets of Louisville were packed with throngs of white people, all dressed up to watch the event. It's difficult and heartbreaking to think about what happened. With the decisions being made by the Roberts court, it feels like they are turning back the clock to that disgusting time in our history.
